Maine Medical Center (MMC) promotes the development of new knowledge and facilitates its application in ways that
benefit society. Within the medical center, the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) facilitates the practical application
of knowledge by protecting, marketing, and negotiating the sale of rights of commercially viable intellectual property to
partners that can bring the property to market. The mission of the Office of Technology Affairs (OTT) is to make MMC’s
technology available for public benefit, to promote research by facilitating collaboration with industry, and to
generate research-supporting income.
